Making a Colorful Gift Tag

1. Cut a few circles out of the paper. We used measuring cups for a variety of sizes.

2. Cut a few circles out of the fabric.

3. Match the fabric circles to corresponding paper circles. Sew each pair of circles together, with a generous 1/4-inch seam allowance. Don't worry if the seams are perfect circles or not. Trim the edges of the circles with the pinking shears to even them out. Punch a hole near where the ends of the seam overlap.

4. Now it's time to make some pom poms. Make as many as you like in different sizes. For a good tutorial on making pom poms using the Clover contraption, we like the directions on Knitter's Review.

Holiday Cheer

Thread the tails of the pom pom through the tag and attach it to a package, a tree branch, or a mantlepiece.
Happy Holidays!
